Frequently Asked Questions

When you think of a cardboard box, you think of kraft stock. It is a traditional brown box that complements darker prints and minimalistic designs. White Clay Coated stock is a white coated cardboard stock that allows your print to be coloured! Because of the vibrancy of the print, the White Clay Coated stock is the most popular option. It has a semi-gloss finish on the outside of the box and a matte finish on the inside.
The packaging for these boxboards is designed to be easily assembled. With our assembly guide, you can have your boxes up in no time!
Your Mailer Box will have a matte finish on the interior and exterior for the Kraft material. Your Mailer Box will have a semi-gloss finish on the surface and a matte finish on the inside if you choose the White Clay Coat material.
Custom Printed Mailer Boxes are made from cardboard stock which means they are not waterproof. However, these boxes are designed to protect your items from the elements during shipping.
Tooling marks are made when the cardboard is manufactured, and they have no effect on the quality or strength of the cardboard. Because the appearance of the lines is random, some boxes may have more lines than others. When lighter colours are used for the inside print, these lines become more visible.
Because we do not print in white, we will be unable to add white ink to your Kraft boxes.
Since we are printing directly onto the uncoated, natural brown cardboard, the colour of your print will differ slightly from what it would if it were printed on the white clay-coated stock. Lighter colours will appear practically translucent as the cardboard’s original colour will be visible through them.
You will receive your Custom Printed Mailer Boxes flat packed and in a cardboard box.
The inserts will be provided blank; at this time, we do not print onto them. The Mailer Box inserts won’t be printed, so they’ll be the standard colour of the material you chose, such as white if your boxes are made of White Clay Coated Stock or Kraft Brown if you’re ordering Kraft Material.
Unfortunately, the Mailer Box inserts cannot yet be customised.

Yes, the majority of foods that are dry, non-fatty items can be used in touch with our custom-printed mailer boxes without any issues. We wouldn’t advise shipping greasy, wet goods in this unless it was already wrapped and sealed.

The quantity of pieces you will receive is determined by the configuration you have chosen:

  • 2×1 = 1 piece per insert
  • 1×2 = 1 piece per insert
  • 2×2 = 2 pieces per insert
Your inserts may have had some numbers etched into the backs of them; don’t worry, these won’t be visible once the insert is put together. These are sizing codes that our staff uses as a reference to make sure that you get the right insert for your box and that you get all of the pieces for each insert.
Definitely not. We don’t offer any further embellishments like spot UV coating, foiling, embossing, or metallic prints; we simply use our HP Latex ink to print directly into the material.
